The Kenya Airways has issued a Cautionary
Announcement to the public on the 7th June 2017. According to the
notice publishes in the Dar Stock Exchange’s website, the announcement has been
issued with the full approval of the Capital Market Authority pursuant to the
Capital Market (securities) (Public Offers, Listing and Disclosure),
regulations, 2002 as amended; as a matter of policy the capital market
authority assumes no responsibility for the correctness of the statements
appearing in the announcement.
In their statement the company confirms that
it is in advanced stages of discussion with its stakeholders to recapitalize
its balance sheet and secure additional near term liquidity in order to place
itself on a stronger footing and enhance its long term prospects.
